“Keytruda is a type of immune therapy drug used to treat certain types of cancer, more specifically metastatic tumors. Recently, this drug has been approved to treat any solid tumor with specific genetic features, no matter the location. In five clinical trials, the drug has shown a positive response in almost 40% of patients.

Though this is not considered a first-line treatment, it might become one eventually. For years, cancer has been treated based on its origin in the body, but this drug shows that there are other directions that can be taken.”
