Dear Friends,
Our brain tumor community is no stranger to navigating through the difficulties and uncertainty of life. And now, with COVID-19, our physical and emotional well-being is tested once again. Some say our brain tumor community is especially vulnerable to this virus, and while we must be extra careful to protect ourselves by staying home, I believe, there is no community better poised to persevere.
Through the past couple of years, I’ve had the chance to meet patients, caregivers, survivors and families all across the country. What I’ve learned is that while everyone navigates this journey in their own unique way, one commonality surfaced—the need for community.
For some, a community represents an opportunity to actively engage and connect. And for others, a community represents a sense of knowing that others are rallying with conviction to defeat a common enemy.
Whatever your preference, I want you to know that you are not alone. Your ABTA, your community, is here for you.
Today, and in the days ahead, I encourage you to reach out to the ABTA to assist you with whatever you need. After all, this organization was built by you and for you. The founders of our organization made certain to create an organization that empowers our community, with trusted information and support services to help you through today, while investing in all of our tomorrows.
