An estimated 13,000+ people will be diagnosed with glioblastoma (GBM) this year.
Saddled with dire figures like a life expectancy of 14-16 months, not to mention a five-year survival rate of just 5.7%, it’s no wonder GBM survivors feel isolated and alone.
But hope is on the horizon!
“Hope is a powerful thing,” says six-year GBM Survivor Nicole Schalmo. “Even if that hope gives someone an extra month to be with their family, that time is priceless.”
While GBM is the most common and deadly cancerous primary brain tumor, researchers are still trying desperately to improve treatment options and patient quality of life.
Together, we can move beyond these statistics and provide more hope for GBM survivors and their families.
The sixth annual Glioblastoma Awareness Day is Wednesday, July 17, 2024.
Join us now to raise funds for high-risk, high-reward GBM research. Your gift will bring us one step closer to reaching our goal of $50,000 to fund an ABTA Discovery Grant focused on improving outcomes for GBM patients.
